Erie, P.A. – Michael D. Peduzzi, President and Chief Executive Officer of CNB Bank, today announced the planned leadership transition for David Zimmer after 18 years of dedicated service as the founding President for CNB’s ERIEBANK division. Mr. Zimmer will remain with ERIEBANK in the capacity of Executive Regional Director, effective December 31, 2023.
ERIEBANK first opened in 2005 under Mr. Zimmer’s leadership in Erie, Pennsylvania. Within two years of opening, their innovative, full-service banking style and community focus set ERIEBANK apart from other banks in the region. With a focus on each customer being serviced by local, market-knowledgeable professionals, Mr. Zimmer has played an integral role in the creation and success of ERIEBANK, leading the company to achieve significant growth milestones and a strong presence in the market. Now eighteen years later, ERIEBANK has twelve locations with plans for continued growth.

To ensure a smooth transition, Wesley Gillespie, currently serving as a Regional President within ERIEBANK, will assume the role of overall Divisional President of ERIEBANK. Mr. Gillespie brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the industry to his role. His proven leadership abilities and commitment to the community, and his strong knowledge of the Bank’s culture and operating profile, make him the ideal candidate for this position.
In addition to Mr. Gillespie, Katie Jones will serve as Regional President for Pennsylvania, and Tim Flenner will be Market Executive for Ohio. Their expertise and dedication to ERIEBANK will provide the needed professional leadership to ensure the continued success of the organization throughout its footprint.
In his new role as Executive Regional Director, Mr. Zimmer will be responsible for facilitating a seamless transition for the new leadership team. He will serve as a key partner in corporate strategic activities, including a special role of monitoring the construction, staffing, and opening of ERIEBANK’s Parade Street Office in the East Side Renaissance district. He will also continue to serve on the ERIEBANK Board of Advisors.
